Teen shoots, kills a pair of armed home invaders

A 17-year-old boy shot and killed two armed home invaders at his Channelview house Friday night, police said.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted about the incident in the 1600 block of First Street.

Three armed men wearing masks broke into the home, occupied by a woman, a 12-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys.

One of the 17-year-olds grabbed a shotgun and shot two of the invaders.

They died at the scene, and the third fled in a dark-colored four-door sedan.

No one else was reported injured during the incident.

Gonzalez mentioned in the tweet that the case will be presented to a grand jury and is under investigation.
