Angleton thrills with winning FG

Angleton’s Shaun Neibert kicked a 20-yard field goal to give the Wildcats a thrilling 24-21 win over Manvel at Freedom Field in Class 5A District 10 Division I game.

Angleton took its first lead when Deseahn Thomas rambled 36 yards for a touchdown with 8:37 left in the third quarter for a 14-13 Wildcat advantage.

The Wildcats then stunned the Mavericks by recovering an onside kick.

Kariyen Goins then fired a touchdown pass for 48 yards to Myalek Woods for a 21-13 score with 7:34 showing in the third.

Manvel tied the game at 21 with 11:52 left when Andrew Riley scored on a 22-yard run.
