Run game moves Klein Cain to 3-0

-

Four Hurricanes players scored rushing touchdowns in the first half and Klein Cain rolled past Cypress Falls 49-14 in a nondistrict match at Klein Memorial Stadium.

The teams met for the first time in a matchup of unbeatens. The Hurricanes built an early lead in the opening period and never looked back.

“Just really proud of how our kids prepared all week and came out and played against what we felt like was a very good team, good program, got a lot of respect for the coaches,” Klein Cain head coach James Clancy said. “They’re going to be a contender in their district, so this was a nondistrict game that we knew it was going to be a challenge.”

Klein Cain (3-0) is perfect through Week 3 for the first time in program history. The Hurricanes beat Summer Creek 28-14 in the season opener and shut out College Park 42-0 in week two.

The Hurricanes finished with 366 rushing yards as a team. They’re averaging 356 rush yards per game (270 in Week 1 and 433 in Week 2).
