Sheriff: Woman’s nephew kills man following 911 call
A young man was fatally shot by the nephew of a woman who called 911 after finding the 18-yearold in her daughter’s room around midnight Saturday in north Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the home in the 23600 block of Blodgett Peak Trail around 12:35 p.m. and found Curtis Mobley unresponsive in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds, Sheriff Ed Gonzales said in a tweet. Mobley was taken to a hospital in critical condition but died from his injuries.
The woman told the 911 dispatcher she “found a boy in her daughter’s room and that her nephew shot him,” according to Gonzales
Daniel Hines, 20, was charged with murder after being interviewed by investigators, Gonzales
said. A neighbor’s home across the street also was struck by gunfire, but no one was injured, he said.
