Charles R. Lane was a resident of Montgomery. He lived in Houston for years and other places around Texas. Charles changed his address to Heaven on Sunday, the 11th of September 2022, when he went to be with Jesus. He was 93 years of age.

Charles was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on the 15th of June 1929, where he was raised on his Grandfather Beck’s farm with his mother and three brothers, two aunts, two uncles, and many cousins.

Charles accepted Christ at South Main Baptist Church in Houston and was baptized in 1956.

After Marjorie’s death, Charles joined First Baptist Church in Houston. Charles met Jimmie Lefebvre at a Victory Singles function at First Baptist and a courtship began. Charles and Jimmie were wed in the gardens at Vargo’s Restaurant on the 13th of March 1994, combining two beautiful families.

Charles was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. When Jimmie and Charles retired, they moved to Montgomery so Charles could Crappie Fish in Lake Conroe on a daily basis. He was a very successful fisherman and hosted many fish frys at their home for neighbors and the Uplifters Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, Conroe where they were members.
