Cinco Ranch rolls past Tompkins
Cinco Ranch faced a Tompkins team that had allowed just 51 points through three games, including a narrow loss to No. 5 state-ranked Katy last week.
The Cougars nonetheless continued their impressive offensive pace, while perhaps their best defensive performance of the season helped produce a 42-14 victory over the No. 12 Falcons in District 19-6A action Friday at Rhodes Stadium.
Cinco Ranch (3-1, 2-0) scored 35 unanswered points to end a threegame losing streak against Tompkins. Cougars quarterback and SFA commit Gavin Rutherford passed for 283 yards and three scores to lead the way.
