Langham Creek tops Bridgeland

- Alvaro Montano

Braylon Scott threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, and Jonathan Hill scored the go-ahead touchdown from 25 yards out as Langham Creek opened District 16-6A action with a 29-26 victory over Bridgeland on Friday at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.

Langham Creek (2-2, 1-0) snapped its threegame losing streak against the Bears (1-3, 0-1) and won its district opener for the first time since 2017.

“It feels awesome,” Langham Creek coach Todd Thompson said. “Bridgeland’s had a good team for years. Just told our guys all week, ‘It’s going to take everything you got, but we’re going to find a way to win.’ They believed and did a great job, so I’m so proud of these guys. They gave it all they had tonight.”
