Abbott, O’Rourke draw Calif. donations

Don’t California my Texas? When it comes to the governor’s race, that’s off the table: Both Gov. Greg Abbott and Beto O’Rourke have won big money from donors in California.

Even before attending a big-dollar fundraiser in Los Angeles last week, O’Rourke had already raised more than $4 million from California­ns.

But Abbott is no slouch on the West Coast himself. Since he filed for re-election, Abbott

has raised almost $3 million from California­ns.

Here are the top 10 California donors for both campaigns:
