Man sitting in truck is shot to death outside apartment

A man was fatally shot late Friday while sitting in his pickup outside his southwest Houston apartment, police said.

A witness said that around 10 p.m., a vehicle pulled in front of the pickup in the 10200 block of Beechnut. A passenger got out, fired two or three shots and fled in the vehicle, the witness said. The victim’s identity has not been released.
