St. Thomas stays perfect with win over Kinkaid
Week after week, St. Thomas rises to the challenge. That was the case again Friday night as the Eagles defended their home turf and earned a 35-14 victory over Kinkaid in a nondistrict private school clash at Granger Stadium.
St. Thomas (5-0) — ranked as the unanimous No. 1 private school team in the Houston area by the Chronicle — improved to 5-2 against Kinkaid (3-3) since 2014 and avenged a 48-41 loss to the Falcons from last season.
Quarterback Donte Lewis completed 15-of-20 passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns.
Johann Cardenas rushed 17 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns.
