Taylor Morrison completes Dahlia plan for GHBA project

-

Construction has wrapped up on Taylor Morrison’s Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project home in Grand Vista.

Taylor Morrison built its one-story Dahlia plan for this 42-year-old charity fundraiser on a lot they also donated in their community of Grand Vista, in Richmond.

The Benefit home was built with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA member companies. Once the home sells, proceeds will go to two local charities — HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

Taylor Morrison’s Dahlia plan is a 1,532 sq. ft. one-story home with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage.

An extended formal foyer flows into an openconcept gathering room and kitchen.

There is also a formal dining room. The private owner’s suite is located at the back of the home offering a beautiful retreat with its wall of windows.

There are two closets for separate wardrobes, a double door entry to the owner’s bath, a vanity with dual sinks and a separate walk-in shower.

“The GHBA is extremely grateful to Todd Rasmussen, Taylor Morrison division president and Bill Dalton, Taylor Morrison’s vice president of Land for committing their construction and admin teams to become a Benefit Home builder,” said Scott Merovitch, Chesmar Homes city president and the chairman of the Benefit Homes Project. “This is their second Benefit Home since 2018, and it couldn’t come at a better time than 2022. We thank the Taylor Morrison team and their vendors who will make this a successful project.”

Vendors and trades are asked to donate everything from the initial site work, through the closing costs.

Companies who have donated include Mark Stavinoha Custom Cabinets, Meridian Brick LLC, Post-Tension Solutions of Texas, Inc., R.T. Masonry, Inc., Raw Materials, Reyes Tar Painting Services, Inc, Rodney P. Bordelon, Allpoints Surveying, Rosenberg Plumbing Service, Inc., Sprint Sand & Clay, LLC, TopBuild Home Services, Inc., UFP Construction, Windstorm Solutions, Inc., Wisenbaker Builder Services, Inc., and Workwide Rock.
