HAROLD P. RABALAIS

Harold P. Rabalais was born to Joseph Henry Rabalais and Blanche Marie Guilbeau on April 5, 1931 in Odenburg, Avoyelles Parish, LA. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne B. Rabalais, whom he married in 1953, and their children; Michael W. Rabalais, Martin J. Rabalais, and Suzanne M. Holliday, seven grandchild­ren and eight great-grandchild­ren. He is preceded in death by their daughter, Cherie Anne Rabalais.

Harold received B.S. in Business from Louisiana

State University and served as an officer in the United States Air Force. He owned Gulf Machinery Company, a constructi­on equipment business in Houston for 15 years. He was founding member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and served as a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus Memorial Council 6527. Harold was connoisseu­r of fine wine and a talented French Creole chef. His hobbies included fly fishing, hunting, flying, and he was a voracious reader.

The Rabalais family will be present to receive friends Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
