Deer Park keeps perfect record
Running back Erasmo Canales rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns to power undefeated Deer Park’s 47-14 win against Pasadena Memorial on Friday at Pasadena ISD’s Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Deer (7-0) took control early by scoring on their first two series and keeping Memorial off the scoreboard after an 8-minute drive. They took a 26-7 lead into halftime after two more TDs in the second quarter. “Our D-line really controlled the line of scrimmage,” Deer Park coach Austin Flynn said. “They played winning football all night, and our offensive line did, too.
“So we controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides. That was the big key (Friday).”
