Robert “Bob” Manson

Craft, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 16, 2022, in Round Rock, Texas.

Bob was born in San Diego, California, on January 26, 1939, to James Abner Craft and Mary Simpson Craft. He grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, along with his older sister Carol. He graduated from W. B. Ray High School, Texas A&M University and the University of Texas School

of Law. Although he made his living with his law degree, he was forever a loyal Aggie.

Following law school Bob served in the United States Marines as a JAG lawyer. He then took a job with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. He was recruited by Conoco in Houston in 1970 where he spent the next 30 years as an anti-trust attorney until his retirement in 2000.

In his retirement years he was an avid golfer who made two holes-in-one, by accident he would say. He was also a skilled and talented woodworker who built an entire bedroom suit of furniture, many bookcases, cedar chests, tables and chairs. He learned woodturning, made pens and bowls, and helped some of his grandchildren turn their very own pens. He appreciated literature, opera, symphonies and Texas Aggies football, sometimes all on the same day. He was a passionate world traveler and enjoyed photographing his trips and his family members.

A very intelligent man with high personal integrity, Bob was kind, humble and generous with a wicked sense of humor. He loved his family unconditionally.

He is survived by D’Anne Parker Craft, his wife of 39 years, his children Baird

Craft, John Craft, Christine Pullin and Tanya Pullin, his grandchildren Michael, Taylor, Parker, Nicholas,

Zoey, Ethan, Lauren, Abigail, Bobby, Randy, and Caleb, two great grandchildren, his sister Carol Kelley, his brother-inlaw Robert Parker and wife Alesia, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Austin Kelley.
