Donald Leroy Marley, 98, gained his angel wings on October 29, 2022 in Kingwood, Texas. He was born on February 5, 1924 to his parents Elsie and Virgil Marley in Niotaze, Kansas. Donald married the love of his life, Helen Marley, on September 28, 1946 and shared 71 loving years together before her passing in 2018. Donald was the biggest Astros fan, and enjoyed supporting the team since 1968 in the Astrodome and Minute Maid Park. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 71 years, Helen Marley. He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Brona Hamlin, Suzanne McEachern of San Antonio, TX, and Lisa Lancaster and husband Joe of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Lancaster of Nashville, TN, Laura Marley Lancaster of New Haven, CT, and Danielle Murr Wilkes and husband Seth of San Antonio, TX; great-grandson, Ethan Wilkes; step-grandchildren, Wayne Hamlin, Michelle Bunselmeyer; step-great grandchildren, Tyler Hamlin, Malenna Hamlin, Dianna Hamlin, Samantha Bunselmeyer, Andrew and Donnie Bunselmeyer; as well as numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family invites you to join them for a celebration of life service on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
