That same year they joined Chapelwood Methodist Church. He was extremely active in his church and also served on planning commission boards in Hunters Creek Village. In the early 1950s he joined the law firm of Fulbright, Crooker, Freeman, Bates and Jaworski. He headed the tax department until he retired in 1986. Prior to his retirement he helped create the Clayton Medical Research Foundation and later acted as a trustee and president until he finally retired in 2019. All of those knowing Bill will miss him deeply as he was a smart, kind, generous gentleman and a wonderful Dad.
