Connley’s five TD passes lead Prairie View in rout
PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Trazon Connley threw a career-high five touchdown passes on eight completions and Prairie View A&M beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 55-24 on Saturday.
Connley was 8 of 15 for 193 yards for the Southwestern Athletic Conference West leaders (6-4, 5-2). His touchdowns went to five different receivers.
Three of Connley’s touchdowns came in the second quarter — including his longest scoring throw of the game, 45 yards to Jailon Howard — as the Panthers took a 28-17 lead at halftime. Two more Connley touchdown passes made it 41-17 with five minutes left in the third quarter.
Chris Herron had a passing and receiving touchdown for the Panthers.
Skyler Perry threw for 171 yards and a score for the Golden Lions (2-8, 0-7).

Andrew Body threw two touchdown passes — including a 65-yarder to AJ Bennett — as the Tigers (5-5, 4-3 SWAC) breezed to a blowout win at PNC Stadium.

(2-8, 1-5) grabbed a 10-7 lead in the third quarter on Nery Enriquez‘s 30yard field goal, but McElroy scored on an 11-yard run with 48 seconds left in the period to give the Cowboys a 14-10 lead.

Kylin James ran for 155 yards, Jarrod Barnes returned a punt for a touchdown, and the Bears (5-5) blew past the host Lumberjacks (5-5).
Three quarterbacks combined to go 14-of-31 passing for 73 yards for the Lumberjacks. One bright spot for Stephen F. Austin was Miles Reed who had 149 yards rushing.

Ethan Long threw three first-quarter touchdown passes and four overall and the visiting Wildcats (7-3, 4-0 Western Athletic) rode a fast start to victory.
Keegan Shoemaker was 23 of 46 for 319 yards with two TDs and two interceptions for Sam Houston. He also ran for a pair of scores. Cody Chrest had 117 yards receiving on five catches for the Bearkats (5-3, 3-1), who had a five-game win streak snapped.

Kevorian Barnes and Brenden Brady scored two touchdowns apiece and the host Roadrunners (8-2, 6-0 Conference USA) clinched at least a tie for the Conference USA championship.

Diego Pavia threw for two touchdowns, Jamoni Jones had a pair of short scoring rushes and the host Aggies (4-5) won their third straight, their first three-game win streak since 2017. The Cardinals (1-9) gave up three turnovers.

Carter Bradley threw four touchdown passes — two of them to Devin Voisin — and the host Jaguars rolled (8-2, 5-1 Sun Belt). Layne Hatcher completed 24 of 42 passes for 143 yards for the Bobcats (3-7, 1-5).

Tanner Mordecai threw his two touchdown passes in a 21-point third quarter, and the visiting Mustangs (6-4, 4-2 American Athletic) became bowl eligible and handed the Bulls their eighth straight loss.

DeWayne McBride ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns to set a school record with 17 rushing touchdowns for the host Blazers.
McBride scored on short runs in the first quarter but North Texas (6-5, 5-2) stormed back with three touchdowns and took a 21-17 lead at the half. However the Mean Green punted on their next three drives and two fourth quarter drives ended on failed fourth-down conversions.

Eli Ennis chased Texas A&M-Commerce quarterback Jaiave Magalei out of the back of the end zone midway through the fourth quarter and the resulting safety proved to be the difference for the Colonels (3-7, 3-2 Southland) over the Lions (5-5, 3-3).
Texas A&M-Commerce took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, then could not reach the end zone the rest of the way.
