Astros win second World Series title
Last Saturday, the Astros clinched the World Series title for a second time with a 4-1 win over the Phillies. It was the franchise’s second in five years, with 2017’s victory marred by scandal and a shakeup of the organization. At 73, Dusty Baker became the oldest manager to win the World Series and the seventh in major league history to win as both a player and manager. On Wednesday, Baker received a one-year contract to return to the Astros; however, the club parted ways with general manager James Click, and ace Justin Verlander opted to become a free agent.
