Sandra Dianne Belville (nee Royall) passed away September 5, 2022 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvan­ia where she had resided for many years. Dianne is survived by her daughters, Susan Belville of Pittsburgh PA and Pamela Jernigan of Gettysburg, PA, as well as five grandchild­ren (Nicholas, Alex, Aaron, Alexandra, and Sophie). She also has three siblings, her twin sister Shirley “Danna” Edwards, Jane Parker, and John Royall. Her younger brother Charles M. Royall pre-deceased her. Also, her former husband of 38 years James D. Belville pre-deceased her.

Dianne was a very giving person liked and loved by everyone. She was a lifelong member of the service sorority Beta Sigma Phi receiving numerous awards for her service. She enjoyed a distinguis­hed career at numerous technology and government­al organizati­ons. She served at the Federal Aviation Administra­tion, Texas Tech University, the National Oceanic and Atmospheri­c Organizati­on (NOAA), the National Aeronautic­s and Space Administra­tion (NASA) and Xyant Technologi­es. She was especially proud of her roles at NASA assisting with the Space Shuttle Program and attended several shuttle launches. Also, she cherished the warm friendship­s and bonds she made at Xyant in Oklahoma.

Dianne grew up in Houston, TX and spent much of her adulthood in Texas before moving to New Orleans. Later, she resided in the Washington DC area before moving to Oklahoma and finally Pittsburgh. She got great joy from both of her daughters’ accomplish­ments as well as watching her grandchild­ren grow up and make their way in life. Dianne was an accomplish­ed painter practicing the hobby for many years. Also, late in life she was able to enjoy her retirement and travel both in the US and abroad to Costa Rica, Florida, Mexico, and California as well as several Caribbean cruises.

A memorial service is being held in January in Katy TX where many friends and relatives reside. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to remember Dianne please make a donation to your preferred charity in her name. She will be missed by all who knew her.
