Bulldogs snap Sharks’ streak
Summer Creek ended Shadow Creek’s 11-game winning streak, beating the Sharks 36-20 in a
Region III-6A area round playoff game Friday night at TDECU Stadium.
Running back Lloyd Avant had 26 carries for 150 yards and three touchdowns to lead the charge for the Bulldogs (8-4).
Summer Creek advances to the regional semifinal round to take on Katy, which defeated Memorial 62-21 on Friday night. That contest will be played at 2 p.m. Friday at Turner Stadium.
Katy and Summer Creek played in the Region III-6A Division II final last season, and the Tigers defeated the Bulldogs 34-31 in a thriller.
