NASA rocket blasts into future
NASA launched the world’s most powerful rocket early Wednesday, pushing an uncrewed spacecraft away from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, beyond Earth’s atmosphere and onward to a particularly arduous journey around the moon.
The Orion capsule’s 25-day mission will go farther than any spacecraft designed for humans has gone. It will stay in space longer than any space shuttle or Apollo capsule, and it will come home hotter and faster.
