Thanksgiving parade back after break
Despite occasional, literal downpours, metaphorically, nothing could rain on Houston’s parade. The 73rd annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade drew thousands — albeit not the usual packed crowd — to downtown, then drenched them as sudden storms briefly had attendees vacillating between umbrellas and the under-hangs of central business district buildings. The annual parade skipped the past two years. Officials canceled it in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic and last year pulled the plug because of high winds.
