Club Q shooting suspect, 22, grew up in Texas

The 22-year-old accused of killing five people in a Colorado Springs LGBTQ bar last weekend spent most of his life in San Antonio, public records show. The man now known as Anderson Lee Aldrich was raised in San Antonio as Nicholas Brink until he was 15 years old, the Washington Post reported. Last Sunday, Aldrich allegedly opened fire in Club Q, which was celebratin­g National Transgende­r Day of Remembranc­e.

In related news, the manager of a Walmart in Chesapeake, Va., opened fire in the break room, killing six people and himself. The mass shootings marked a deadly week ahead of Thanksgivi­ng celebratio­ns.
