CECILIA MOXLEY

Cecilia Jane “Celie” (Olsen) Moxley, 80, of The Woodlands, TX passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Born November 2, 1942, in Aultman, Pa, she was the daughter of Bernard Olan and Rebecca (Clark) Olsen. She was a graduate of Laura Lamar High School, Homer City, PA. She furthered her education to become a registered nurse, graduating from Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh. Celie was the supervisor nurse at the first trauma center at Presbyterian Hospital and was later selected to be part of the nursing staff administering to the first heart transplant patient in the state of Pennsylvania in 1968. Celie cared for the ill at several hospitals before retiring.

Celie had a caring, generous heart and enjoyed giving back to the community. She had a great love for animals. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will forever be remembered for the joy, laughter, and love that she brought to many.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ray Moxley, her daughter Kerry (Jeffrey) Allen, granddaughters Khloe and Kennedy of The Woodlands, her brother Jan (Elaine) Olsen, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

A funeral mass was held at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Friday, December 2, 2022.
