UH rallies to reach Sweet 16
The University of Houston volleyball team punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with a five-set win over Auburn on Saturday night in Omaha, Neb..
The fifth-seeded Cougars won the fourth set 25-23 and took the decisive fifth set 15-8 to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1994.
UH (30-3) will play the No. 1 Stanford on Dec. 8 in Palo Alto, Calif.
Auburn ends the season at 22-9.
For the second straight match, Kennedy Warren led the Cougars with 17 kills. Rachel Tullos had 11 kills on a .625 hitting percentage. Kate Georgiades had 27 digs.

The top-ranked Longhorns swept the Bulldogs 25-14, 25-16, 25-15, in an NCAA second round on Friday night at Austin.
Texas (24-1) advances to the regional for the 17th-consecutive season, the longest active streak in the country.
Texas will host Marquette in the regional semifinal on Thursday at a time to be determined.
The teams were knotted up 5-5 to start the second set before Texas went on a 9-0 run to grab a 14-5 lead and never looked back.
BAYLOR 3, RICE 2
The fourth-seeded Bears held off the fifthseeded Owls 3-2 (25-16, 22-25, 23-25, 25-14, 11-15), in a second round match Friday night at Waco.
Baylor advances to the Sweet 16 for the fourthstraight year. The Bears will play No. 2 national seed Louisville.
WISCONSIN 3, TCU 0
Sarah Franklin had 13 kills on .464 hitting and the top-seeded Badgers swept the Horned Frogs (25-9, 25-11, 25-3) in a second round match Saturday at Madison, Wisc.
The Horned Frogs (17-0) are eliminated after pulling off a first-round upset over Washington.
