Q: What are your neighborhood/areas of focus?
Michele Kearns: Having grown up in Houston I am particularly familiar with the Inner Loop, Galleria’s Uptown and close-in Memorial neighborhoods.
My focus is on both singlefamily homes and high-rise buildings.
Q: Why did you decide on a career in real estate and what are some things you enjoy about it? Who was your inspiration?
MK: I used to tag along with my parents when they were looking for property.
The entire process fascinated me, and the houses were exceptionally exciting.
Their Realtor made every aspect of it interesting, so I thought it would be a fulfilling career.
Q: How would you describe your work ethic and skills that
bring you success? Client service is my priority throughout the real estate transaction. I focus on providing the best possible service by understanding the client’s exact needs to deliver their ideal outcome. I consider myself a patient and insightful person with good negotiating and marketing skills.
MK: What are some key ways you help your clients in
the buying/selling process? I provide my clients with the tools and knowledge available to assist them in making an informed choice.
Purchasing and selling a home are stressful. For some clients, it is the most important monetary decision they will make.
I strive to take the emotion out of it and to help clients make an informed decision.
Q: How would you describe the marketplace now and is it a good time to buy?
MK: I do believe it is a good time to buy because the market has settled from the COVID buying frenzy.
Q: How many years in the real estate industry?
MK: I have been a licensed Realtor for 33 years.
Q: Education / degrees / previous work and training? MK: I received a BA in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, I worked in my family’s petroleum business. After a few years, I decided to return to school and become a Realtor.
Q: What are your industry or company awards/honors, or professional accolades?
MK: Early in my career I received “Rising Star” and “Star Achiever” awards, and continue to be recognized as a Top Producer.
Q: How does your company support your sales process?
MK: Greenwood King Properties is a locally owned, full-service real estate company and has been for 38 years. We have a great support staff who allow the agents to concentrate on their buyers and sellers.
