Taylor Morrison closes on the GHBA Benefit home
Taylor Morrison led the celebration at the recent closing of their 2022 Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit home. Taylor Morrison built their Dahlia Plan in Grand Vista with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA member companies. Dozens of their vendor and supplier partners donated to ensure the home, when sold, would raise valuable funds for two local charities, Operation Finally Home and HomeAid Houston.
The entire Taylor Morrison team was present to thank the Do family for purchasing the home that was loaded with multiple upgrades and amenities they found met their dream home requirements.
“I was excited to see everything this home offered,” said Lily Do. “We looked at many homes in the area, and decided this one had all the features we were hoping for such as tall ceilings, bright lighting, lots of storage space and large bedrooms. We also were happy with the quality of the build and it felt good to know that two charities would be benefiting from this purchase.”
Also attending the closing was Taylor Morrison leadership including Todd Rasmussen, city president; Bill Dalton, VP of land acquisition and Bob Kulpinski, VP of field operations. Representing the GHBA were Jennifer Keller, 2022 GHBA president and Aimee Bertrand, GHBA CEO. The sales rep from Taylor Morrison who sold the home was Eddy Sheth and the closing agent was Laura Schaefer, Inspired Title Services Escrow Brand Manager. Scott Merovitch, Benefit Homes chair, led the proceedings.
“We could not have built this home without the philanthropic spirit of our dedicated vendors and suppliers who contributed to the effort,” said Rasmussen. “From the home’s survey, through to the closing, the vendors and suppliers are key to making this a successful fundraiser.”
Companies who donated include Allpoints Surveying, Air Innovations, LLC, Astro Drywall, LLC, Builders FirstSource, BMC Texas Sales, Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc., C-Los Investment Co., Corey Construction, Creative Landscape Solutions, CTC Concrete, Drymala Trees, Ellen Lighting, Inc. and exterior Inspections.
