FIRST TEAM OFFENSE
QB — P.J. Hatter, Sr., Westfield
Stats: 207-305 (68 percent), 4,020 yards, 55 TD, 5 INT; 907 rush yards, 12 TD.
Impact: Hatter transferred from Klein Oak and had a tremendous impact for the Westfield offense. The senior Jackson State pledge accounted for nearly 8,000 yards of total offense and 108 touchdowns over his final two high school seasons.
QB — Tucker Parks, Jr., Klein Collins
Stats: 162-237 (68 percent), 2,533 yards, 31 TD, 5 INT; 825 rush yards, 13 TD.
Impact: Parks took his game to another level as a junior, helping Klein Collins win another district championship. He accounted for 3,358 total yards and 44 touchdowns as the Tigers finished with a 10-2 record.
RB — Kedrick Reescano, Sr., New Caney
Stats: 222 carries, 1,849 yards (8.3 avg.), 31 TD; 249 receiving yards, 4 TD; 1 KR TD.
Impact: The Montgomery County Player of the Year helped New Caney reach new heights in 2022 with the first undefeated regular season in program history. The Ole Miss signee accounted for well over 2,000 all-purpose yards.
RB — Christian Womack, Sr., Tomball
Stats: 297 carries, 2,111 yards (7.1 avg.), 28 TD; 2,330 all-purpose yards, 30 total TD.
Impact: Womack was the catalyst for the Cougars’ offense all season, helping the team finish 8-5 and reach the third round of the playoffs. He finished his career with more than 4,000 all-purpose yards and 49 touchdowns.
RB — Tyvonn Byars, Soph., Lake Creek
Stats: 267 carries, 2,346 yards (8.7 avg.), 37 TD; 129 receiving yards, 3 TD.
Impact: Byars was a breakout star during a historic season for the Lions. He was a semifinalist for the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year award and helped Lake Creek post a 12-1 record and reach the regional semifinals.
FB — DayShawn Peterson, Sr., Alvin
Stats: 185 carries, 1,469 yards (7.9 avg.), 17 TD.
Impact: Peterson played a starring role in the Yellowjackets’ double-wing offense, making key blocks for his teammates and plowing up the middle for tough yardage. He was the leading rusher in District 22-6A.
WR — Cory O’Bryant, Sr., Tomball Memorial
Stats: 64 catches, 1,411 yards (22 avg.), 22 TD; 130 rush yards, 3 TD.
Impact: O’Bryant was a dynamic playmaker for the Wildcats this season as they fielded the No. 1 offense in a challenging District 15-6A. He finished his senior year with nearly 1,800 all-purpose yards.
WR — Marquis Johnson, Sr., Dickinson
Stats: 43 catches, 969 yards (22.5 avg.), 11 TD; 428 rush yards, 6 TD; 1,667 all-purpose yards.
Impact: Dickinson was determined to get the ball in Johnson’s hands as much as possible, and for good reason. The senior speedster had the potential for a house call anytime he found some open field.
WR — Jonah Wilson, Sr., Dekaney
Stats: 77 catches, 1,341 yards (17.4 avg.), 13 TD; 1 KR TD.
Impact: Wilson showed why he is one of the top receiver recruits in the country with an electric senior campaign. The Houston signee helped the Wildcats finish 9-4 and reach the regional semifinals.
TE — Chico Holt, Sr., Strake Jesuit
Stats: 45 catches, 574 yards, 9 TD.
Impact: Holt was a steady presence in the middle of the field for Strake Jesuit quarterback Bryce Fucik. His ability to find the end zone was a huge asset for an offense that averaged more than 400 yards per game.
OL — Ray’Quan Bell, Jr., Westfield
Stats: 47 knockdowns, 2 sacks allowed for 12-2 team.
Impact: Bell was a unanimous All-District 14-6A selection after helping the Westfield offense light up opponents week after week. He contributions helped the Mustangs reach the Region II-6A Division I championship game.
OL — Nick Fattig, Sr., Clear Springs
Stats: 95% grade, 84 knockdowns, 0 sacks allowed.
Impact: Fattig was a unanimous All-District 24-6A selection after helping Clear Springs to an 8-4 record and a bi-district playoff victory. He and the Chargers averaged more than 330 yards per game on offense.
OL — Blake Ivy, Jr., Clear Springs
Stats: 90 percent grade, 46 knockdowns, 2 sacks allowed.
Impact: Ivy was also a unanimous All-District 24-6A pick following a standout junior season. He will anchor the Chargers’ line again next year as one of the top offensive lineman recruits in the country.
OL — Ashton Funk, Jr., Tompkins
Stats: 90% grade, 35 pancakes, 9 knockdowns.
Impact: Funk was a unanimous All-District 19-6A selection after helping Tompkins rush for more than 3,000 yards in 11 games this season. The Falcons averaged nearly 400 yards of total offense per contest.
OL — Jackson Felkins, Sr., Klein Collins
Stats: 72 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, 0 holding penalties.
Impact: Felkins was a unanimous All-District 15-6A selection as the Tigers produced nearly 5,000 yards of offense in 12 games. He helped to keep Parks protected in the pocket and paved the way for the Klein Collins ball carriers.
