-

With the recent completion of the HistoryMaker Benefit home, a charity fundraiser of the Greater Houston Builders Association, the home is now open for tours for interested buyers who appreciate the current trends in home design, and will appreciate that the funds from the sale, will go to two local charities.

HistoryMaker built their Hemlock Plan in the Land Tejas community of Sunterra, with donated materials and services by GHBA member companies. Since the Benefit Homes Project began 43 years ago, $13 million has been raised. The funds will benefit HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

“We rely heavily on the donations we receive from our loyal vendors, suppliers and the trades,” said Mickey Pizzitola, president of HistoryMaker Houston. “I and our amazing team at HistoryMaker are proud to work with so many professional, generous and longtime partners on a project that benefits the homeless of Houston and injured veterans with families returning from active duty. HomeAid and Operation Finally Home change the lives of everyone they serve, and we are proud to be a part of that mission.”

HistoryMaker’s Hemlock Plan is a 2,777 sq. ft. two-story design with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The home offers a media room and game room on the second floor, a downstairs master suite with spacious walk-in closet, a dual vanity and a separate tub and shower. The floor plan is an open concept for easy entertaining and gatherings, and the tall ceilings and box windows add to the spacious feeling. The home also includes a covered patio and large garage.

Vendors and suppliers who participated in the construction include, Allpoints Land Survey, Mick’s Grass & Sod Services, Sprint Sand and Clay, Santollo’s Construction Clean Up, DPIS Engineering, Qualified Inspection Services, UFP New Waverly, Builder FirstSource, E&M Construction Plus, Countrywide Roofing, Hoelscher Weatherstrip MFG, Rosenberg Plumbing, IES Residential, Datasmart, CJS Builder Services, Allstate Brick, Worldwide Rock Enterprises and Tampico Construction.
