Tony Anthony Lauhoff, 86 of Houston passed away January 25, 2023. Tony was born June 24, 1936, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Edward and Patricia Lauhoff. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Barbara, Herman and Wayne and grandson Lucas. He is survived by his wife Sandra of 64 years of marriage, his Children, Chris and his wife Kathie, George and his wife Anita, Cathy Null and her husband David, Andy and his wife Teresa, Jenny Bennett and her husband Spencer, 17 Grandchild­ren, 10 Great Grandchild­ren, Sister Rita and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony grew up in Houston and graduated from St. Thomas High School and served in the US Coast Guard from 1956 to 1959. He started his career at Shell Oil in 1959 and was a leader in the geophysica­l industry for over 60 years.

Tony was an active member and leader at St. John

Vianney Catholic Church, and enjoyed service to his church, other churches and the community. Tony was a member of the church choir and enjoyed playing the bass and guitar. He enjoyed coaching many of his children’s sports teams, and he was an avid woodworker. Tony loved his faith and his family. He was strong, devout, creative, encouragin­g, and a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r and friend to all.

A visitation beginning at 6:00 PM and Rosary Service at 7:00 PM will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Dettling Funeral Home Funeral 14094 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079. Mass of Christian Burial will be the following morning Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail Houston, TX 77079 with reception to follow in the St. John Vianney Activity Center. Burial will take place following reception at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038.
