Andrew Kenneth Lambie, 79, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2023 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Gladys Roberts Lambie and Kenneth Grieve Lambie on September 7th, 1943. He was the youngest child of three. His family moved to Houston early in his life where he met Judith Anne Reese who was his neighbor. They were married in 1966 and had two beautiful children, Andrew Lambie and Emily Lambie. After many years of marriage, his wife developed cancer and passed away in 1983. He remarried Sue Eiffert, a year later and began a new family with two more sons, Curt Eiffert and Kevin Eiffert. A new family began – a new journey together.

He spent most of his formal career at Keeper Company Incorporat­ed building hospitals all over the Southwest. He retired from there at an early age to focus on his family and spend time doing what he loved which was travel. He was a proud deacon at Westbury Baptist Church where he became focused on prison ministry. He helped prisoners who were transition­ing from prison here in Texas to a life outside of the institutio­n. It was a challengin­g opportunit­y for him which he rose to the occasion, and he enjoyed it.

He loved spending time in the evenings with his friends at bible study. He loved the game of golf. He loved his scooter. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Lambie, his sons Andrew Lambie, Kevin Eiffert, Curt Eiffert, and his daughter Emily Lambie. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Paul and her family, his brother, Jim Lambie and his wife Joanie and their family, his sister-in-law, Karla, “Tweety” Reese and her daughter, Asleigh Faske and her family and both of his sisters-inlaw’s Donnie Jackson and Gayle Holt and their families. He is also survived by three wonderful and beautiful grandchild­ren, Ainsley Eiffert, Kendall Eiffert and Cadence Judith Lambie.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11th 2023, at 2 PM at Westbury Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Associatio­n, American Cancer Associatio­n and/or Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
