HAR 2023 leadership team takes oath of office
Realtor Celebration, the event marking the Houston Association of Realtors’ (HAR) annual change in leadership, took place last month at the Houston Country Club, and featured the muchanticipated swearing in of the 2023
HAR Board of Directors and Chair. HAR’s Executive Committee for the new year consists of the following members:

Marcus Phipps, 2023 chairman of Texas Realtors, administered the oath of office for the new board members, while HAR Past Chair Cindy Hamann swore
Cathy Treviño in as 2023 HAR Chair. Treviño was also presented with an official City of Houston proclamation signed by Mayor Sylvester Turner declaring December 15, 2022 “Cathy Treviño Day.”
Realtor Celebration also paid tribute to two outstanding real estate professionals for their exceptional dedication and community stewardship. Thomas Gallagher, who died unexpectedly last May at the age of 67, was honored posthumously as HAR’s 2022 Realtor of the Year. HAR’s 2022 John E. Wolf Community Service Award was presented to Terri Guerra, Broker Associate at Bernstein Realty.
HAR President and CEO Bob Hale saluted outgoing HAR Chair Jennifer Wauhob for her steadfast commitment to the Association and the real estate industry throughout 2022.
