Bobby Jean King - Embesi, a beloved wife, mother and grandmothe­r, entered into rest on February 7, 2023. Born on the 7th of March, 1939 in Dunn, North Carolina to parents Arthur Jeffries and Margret Moore Smith.

Bobby attended Nashville General School of Nursing and TWU where she obtained her Masters in HC Administra­tion. In 1977, she was appointed Director of Nursing at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Bobby retired from nursing in 2001, as an RN, after 40 years of service.

As a woman of grace and poise, she will be remembered for having lived a life that exemplifie­d values and love for family. She was a Roman Catholic and a Certified Spiritual Director in the faith. She was a member of the Catholic Charismati­c Center and St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Community.

Bobby was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kay Bedsole, sons Stephen Lee King and Allen McKay King. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Sandy Embesi, Jr., sister Stephanie Margret Caudell, daughter-in-law Nancy Carrera, and daughter Connie D. Bennicoff. Grandchild­ren: Stefanie F. King, Lindsey C. Bennicoff, and Jacob L. King.

Special mention, the Ladies Bridge Group who had a special bond for over 30 years: Kaye Benson, Gwyn Ross, and Nan Brown.

A memorial service will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Community at 10135 West Road, Houston, Texas 77064, on Friday, the 10th of March, 2023. Rosary at 10:15am followed by mass at 11:00am.
