Jayhawks clobber reeling Sooners

NORMAN, Okla. — Jalen Wilson scored 18 points, and No. 9 Kansas rolled past Oklahoma 78-55 on Saturday.

Wilson, who entered the day leading the Big 12 with nearly 21 points per game, bounced back from a two-point outing against Texas on Monday.

Dajuan Harris scored 16 points and Kevin McCullar added 13 for the Jayhawks (20-5, 8-4 Big 12).

Jalen Hill scored 14 points and Otega Oweh added 11 for Oklahoma.

Oklahoma (12-13, 2-10 Big 12) was in a solid position a month ago but has since lost seven of eight — including four straight since beating Alabama on Jan. 28.

NO. 3 ALABAMA 77 AUBURN 69

Rylan Griffen scored 16 points, Mark Sears added 15 and the visiting Crimson Tide held off a big challenge from their in-state rival.

Alabama (22-3, 12-0 SEC) remained the only Power-5 team without a league loss.

STANFORD 88 NO. 4 ARIZONA 79

Michael O'Connell scored 22 points and all five Cardinal starters scored in double digits in a home court upset that snapped the Wildcats' seven-game winning streak.

UT transfer Courtney Ramey had a game-high 26 points for Arizona (22-4, 11-4 Pac-12). Spencer Jones added 18 points for Stanford (11-14, 5-9).

MISSOURI 86 NO. 6 TENNESSEE 85

D'Andre Gholston hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the a stunning victory over the Volunteers in Knoxville, Tenn.

Gholston took the inbounds and dribbled up the court before taking an off-balance contested 3-pointer from about 30 feet that swished through the net at the buzzer for the win.

NO. 7 UCLA 70, OREGON 63

Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 25 points and 12 rebounds and the Bruins won in Eugene, Ore., for the first time since 2019.

UCLA (21-4, 12-2 Pac-12) has won four straight.

NO. 8 VIRGINIA 69 DUKE 62 (OT)

Armaan Franklin scored 23 points, including a 3-pointer with 39 seconds left, to lift the host Cavaliers over the Blue Devils.

Kihie Clark added 16 points and Ben Vander Plas 13 for Virginia (19-4, 11-3 ACC).

NO. 10 MARQUETTE 89 GEORGETOWN 75

Kam Jones, Oso Ighodaro and Tyler Kolek each scored 14 points to lead a balanced scoring attack and the Golden Eagles blew past the Hoyas in Washington.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 11 points and Chase Ross contribute­d 10 for Marquette.

OKLAHOMA STATE 64 NO. 11 IOWA STATE 56

John-Michael Wright scored 19 points and the Cowboys rallied in Ames, Iowa to hand the Cyclones their fourth loss in five games.

Bryce Thompson added 12 points for Oklahoma State (16-9, 7-5 Big 12) in its fifth straight win.

NO. 15 SAINT MARY’S 81 PORTLAND 64

Logan Johnson led the way with 34 points, with six rebounds and six assists as the Gaels handled the host Pilots.

NO. 16 GONZAGA 88, BYU 81

Julian Strawther scored 26 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 3:10 remaining, and the Bulldogs rallied at home.

Drew Timme added 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for Gonzaga (21-5, 10-2 West Coast Conference).

Trayce Jackson-Davis had 28 points and 11 rebounds, Jalen HoodSchifi­no scored 21 points and the visiting Hoosiers held on to win.

Freshman Jett Howard was short on a 3-pointer just before the buzzer, leaving Michigan without a point for the final 5:12.

Nijel Pack scored 22 points and the Hurricanes beat the Cardinals in Coral Gables, Fla.

Five days following its dominant 22-point home win over Duke, Miami (20-5, 11-4 ACC) struggled to shake off the conference's last-place team.

A grieving David Jones scored 16 points, AJ Storr added 15 and the Red Storm beat the Friars in New York, handing Providence a costly defeat in their pursuit of a second consecutiv­e regularsea­son conference title.

Jones came off the bench after missing two games to go home to the Dominican Republic after his father's death.

Trey Alexander scored 17 points to lead the Bluejays, and the Huskies had what would have been a tying 3-pointer erased on video review in the final seconds in Omaha, Neb.

Jarkel Joiner scored 26 points and D.J. Burns Jr. added 18 with 10 rebounds to lead the Wolfpack to a victory over the Eagles in Boston.

Terquavion Smith scored 17 points for North Carolina State (20-6, 10-5 ACC), giving him 1,000 points for his career.

Coleman Hawkins scored 18 points and the Fighting Illini held the visiting Scarlet Knights scoreless for more than 10 minutes in the second half, rallying to victory.

Adam Seiko scored all 18 points on 3-pointers and Matt Bradley added 17 points in the Aztecs' third straight win and seventh in eight games.
