BEVERLY LOFTIS

-

08/28/1951 - 11/08/2022

Beverly W. Loftis passed away on Nov. 8, 2022. She was 71. Beverly had three great loves in her life: she adored her husband Jack Loftis, she worked tirelessly for local charities in Houston, and there was a special place in her heart for animals.

She attended Robert E.

Lee High School in Baytown and graduated from Sam Houston State University. Friends cherished Beverly for her irreverent sense of humor, rambunctious attitude and fe- rocious loyalty. When a friend or family member needed help or a charity needed a boost, Beverly was there with her relentless energy and open heart. When you visited Beverly in her home, you better be prepared to deal with her cherished puppies who ruled the house.

Over the years, Beverly was involved with and honored by many charities and service organizations, including the Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Southwest Chamber of Commerce, the Houston Zoo, Citizens for Animal Protection, Houston Junior Forum, and Friends of West University Place Parks.

Beverly’s parents were Charley and Peggy Walker of Baytown. She is survived by sister Steffani Robinson, brother Gary Walker, nieces and nephews Jordan Saylor Huegele, Ashlyn Huegele, Lane Huegele, Justin Kaufman, Tyler Kaufman, Kayli Kaufman, Tyce Moon, Carter Moon, Leyton Moon, Kyle Kaufman Chambers, Preslie Chambers, many cousins, and goddaughter Betty Marie Muessig.

A private memorial and burial were held at San Jacinto Cemetery. Those who wish to honor Beverly can make a donation to the Beverly W. Loftis Charitable Giving Fund at the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Visit https://ghcf.org/donate/. For more information call 713333-2210.
