Lakeway - Richard Collins (Dick) Hollamon, 85, passed away February 12, 2023. This sixth generation Texan was a direct descendant of three of Texas’ “Original 300”, brothers John and Randolph Foster, and Clement C. Dyer, all who settled in the Richmond area. He was born October 7, 1937, in Houston, Texas to Dorothy Myers Hollamon and Joseph Turner Hollamon, Sr. During his formative high school years, he moved to

San Antonio and was a proud graduate of Alamo Heights High School, Class of 1956.

Dick met his life partner and best friend, Rick Biehl, in 1968 in Houston. They spent 44 years together until Rick’s passing in 2012. Together, they made a career of buying, selling, and developing real estate. They loved to cook and built a well-respected catering business in the 80’s, Good Tastes, then graduated into the frozen foods and restaurant business. They got back into the real estate development business in the late 90’s and redeveloped a couple of beautiful homes on Lake Travis. They loved to entertain, and hosted countless parties over the years for their many dear friends and family. They had a gift of making people feel warm and welcomed in their home.

Dick had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and a kind and generous spirit. He had the ability to light up a room when he entered. He laughed and he loved. He was blessed with a wonderful life and will be missed by many.

Dick is survived by his niece, Dawn Medley, and her children, Kristen, JT and son Joe, Austin and wife Sam and children Maddie, Jax, and Macie, his nephew Steven Hollamon and son Travis, and nephew Kelly Hollamon and wife Tish, and daughters Tori and Erin.
