Lila Rauch, 97, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2023. She was born on September 1, 1925, to Alyce and Ralph Levey in Chicago, Illinois. When she was six years old, her family moved to Los Angeles, California, where she and her brother, Mark, were raised. She met the love of her life, Gerald Rauch, two days before her sixteenth birthday. Four years later, in 1945, they were married. Their marriage was a partnership built on mutual love, devotion, respect, support and teamwork. They were a role model for their children, Linda, Larry and Mark, who together with their spouses, passed their values down to their children.

Lila and Gerald felt blessed to have 63 years together that they described as magical. They enjoyed the love and affection of countless family and friends with whom they delighted in sharing their passion for travel, music, dance and art. They also felt it was important to work toward improving the lives of others, both in their home community and abroad.

Lila had a genuine warmth that made each person feel special, because to her they were, and their families became her family. She was a confidant to generations of family and friends, respected for her wisdom and advice. Forever an optimist, her positive outlook on life inspired her friends to declare their best days “Lila Days”. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, known for her style and grace. Lila was a nurturing, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend whose love and support were cherished by all who knew her. Her family and friends will miss her beyond measure.
