Donald M. Condon, Jr. passed away on Sunday, the19th of March 2023 in Houston, Texas. He was born on the 17th of May 1949 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Donald M. Condon, Sr. and Betty M. (Jones) Condon. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda M. Birchfield (Sauer) in 1969.

Don was a graduate of Brodhead High School, Wisconsin (Class of 1967), where he was a leader in sports, theater and music. He was indoctrina­ted into the school’s Wall of Fame in 2013 for lifetime achievemen­ts. Don attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, School of Business earning his BBA in 1974 and became a member of MENSA. After college, Don and Linda moved to Wilmington, Delaware to work for DuPont, which took him on a career that included moves to Connecticu­t for Remington Arms, overseas to the U.K. with Aldyl Gas Pipeline and ultimately to Houston in 1993 as President of Conoco Energy Ventures. After Conoco merged with Phillips, Don went on to become Managing Director for Titan Petrochemi­cal in Malaysia, earning CEO of the year in 2005. Don and Linda finished his career with the parent company, Westlake Corporatio­n in Houston in 2014.

Don’s wife of 46 years, Linda, passed in 2015 but together they helped start re:MIND support group that assists individual­s struggling with mental illness. It was at a planning for his 50th class reunion that Don would meet and eventually marry, Mary Rundle (Popanz). They wed in 2019 surrounded by their families in Florida where they promised to never replace each other’s spouse, embrace family and continue to enjoy the journey that life had in store for them.

Don is carried on by his wife, Mary Rundle Condon (Popanz); brother, Jon and his wife Sue; his daughters, Kelly, Nicole Williamson and her husband Chad, and son Travis and his wife Alana (Warren); his step-children, Kalen and Robin Marsden, Justin and Liz Rundle; his granddaugh­ter, Caroline Williamson and his grandson Knox Condon of Houston; his step-grandchild­ren, Kinsley, Kennedy, Ansel and Tiegen of Wisconsin.

A memorial service celebratin­g his life is to be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 8th of April, at St. Mark’s Methodist Church, 600 Pecore Street in Houston, where Pastor Emily Chapman will officiate.

Immediatel­y following; all are invited to greet the family and share remembranc­es during a reception in the grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
