Surrounded by her loving family, Patricia Ann Fenoglio “Patsy” Nix passed from life to more life on February 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Estelle Haralson Fenoglio, and her former husband, Ira L. Nix. Her passing is mourned by her children Tricia Nix Doubet and husband Steve, Dan Nix, and Tommy Nix, grandchildren Christiana Kittelson and Gunnar Kittelson, siblings Carole Sue “Sukey”Fenoglio, Bill Fenoglio and wife Sissy, and John Fenoglio and wife Sally, and nine nieces and nephews. All remember her as a loving grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Pat’s working career spanned 30 plus years in Houston’s residential real estate community selling properties in West University, Bellaire, River Oaks and beyond. She worked with

Abel Realty, then Ralph Atkinson, founded Pat Nix Properties, and ended her career with Greenwood King. A member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Pat was a devoted volunteer at the Guild Shop, the Gathering, and Houston Hospice. Native Houstonian, graduate of Mirabeau B. Lamar High School, and attendee at the University of Houston, Pat had a great sense of humor, a strong and enthusiastic work ethic, and an everlasting love of God and family. As the matriarch of a large Fenoglio/ Haralson/Hearn family, she always looked forward to the biannual family reunions at the Nocona, Texas ranch.

A faithful supporter of her children’s athletic endeavors, and a voracious reader, Pat could often be seen with a book in hand cheering on her children and their swimming and football teams. She was a loving and enthusiastic grandmother to Gunnar and Christiana. Pat loved traveling, especially with her friends Norma and Harvey Smith, and she spent many years vacationing with them in Santa Fe, NM. In her later years, every day she looked forward to Dan’s gourmet cooking and dedicated care for her at home, along with visits from sister, Sukey. Services will be held on

April 4, at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Blvd., Houston, Texas, with a reception following in Sumner Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be sent to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas 77030.
