Helen Reynolds Jett passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 2. She was 92 years old. She was born November 13, 1930 in Long Branch, New Jersey to Archibald and Myra Wolcott Reynolds. Helen moved to Houston, Texas in 1951 with Prudential Insurance. She married James D. Jett in 1958, and they lived in Houston until 1972, when his health dictated that he give up his medical practice and relocate to a smaller town. They moved to Las Cruces, NM in 1972 where he worked at the NMSU Student Health Center. James died suddenly of heart failure in 1979. Helen loved Las Cruces and the desert Southwest. She lived there for 49 years, until moving to an assisted living in Albuquerqu­e in 2019 when she was no longer able to live independen­tly. Helen was predecease­d by her loving husband, James D. Jett; parents; Archibald and Myra (Mollie) Reynolds; and her In-Laws: James E. and Wilda Hart Jett; brother Lloyd Reynolds, sister Louise VanDoren and brother-in-law Max VanDoren; brotherin-law Bruce Hudson and nephew Gregory VanDoren. She is survived by daughters: Tamie Conlee (Sam) of Los Ranchos, NM; Kim Luck Schrader(Ben) of Kingwood, Texas and Jamie Jett-Walker

(Carter) of Albuquerqu­e; sisters-in-law: LeeAnn Jett Hudson and Barbara VanDoren. Grandchild­ren: (Carl) Chip Conlee (Melissa Small), Benjamin Conlee (Leah), Mollie Conlee (Artur Sapek), Mackenzie Luck (Samantha), Taylor Luck (fiancé Josh Cantu), Kevin Luck, Cole Walker (AJ) and Hart Walker; eleven great-grandchild­ren and 8 nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank Nancy Giblin and Tana McGarvey and the staff of Sugar Hollow Assisted Living for their care and compassion for over three years, and the nurses and staff of Roadrunner Hospice. A memorial service will be held in Las Cruces, NM at a future date when her family can gather and celebrate her life. Contributi­ons in her memory can be made to the Las Cruces Symphony, the Dona Ana Arts Council or St James Episcopal Church in Mesilla, NM.
