Richard William Wach,

79, of Pearland, TX passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023, with his family lovingly by his side. Richard was born on March 1, 1944, to Arthur and Mary Katherine Wach in Houston, TX. He was the second of four children, with siblings James, Robert, and Janice. He attended Gregg Elementary, Hartman Junior High, and Milby High School, from which he graduated in 1962.

After high school, he started working at Summers Electric before moving to the Jim Edwards Co. and completed his career at SMR Gulf Coast as an electrical manufactur­er’s representa­tive. He truly loved his job and enjoyed every friend he made.

In 1965, Richard married the love of his life, Carol.

They had two children, Tracy and Ronald, and three grandchild­ren, Jeremy, Andrew, and Julia. Richard was the epitome of a family man. He was actively involved in all of their activities.

Richard loved music, especially Doo Wop, and dancing the Jitterbug and Bop. He never missed watching his Houston Astros, Texans, Rockets, and Cougars.

Richard was predecease­d by his parents, Arthur and Mary Katherine Wach; brother, James Wach; and wife, Carol Wach. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Yarbrough; son, Ronald Wach and his wife, Jessica Wach; grandchild­ren, Jeremy Yarbrough, Andrew Wach, and Julia Wach; brother, Robert Wach; and sister, Janice Roberts.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 10, at Peevey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:30pm, Wednesday, October 11, at St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
