JULIAN GREGORY KOLOGINCZAK
01/16/1930 - 11/19/2023
Julian Gregory Kologinczak, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, November 19, 2023, at the age of 93.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Gertrude Kologinczak; children, Mary Vaughan and husband Artie, Carl Kologinczak and wife Cathy, Gloria Kologinczak and husband Douglas Hendrickson, Rosanne Rumski and husband Duane, Paul Kologinczak and wife Amy Trull; sister, Diane Allen and husband Wayne; brother, Kenneth Kologinczak; 19 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. Julian was preceded in death by his son, Roy Joseph Kologinczak; brothers, John Kologinczak, Frank Kologinczak, Bernard Kologinczak; parents, Frank and Agnes Kologinczak.
Julian was a graduate of St. Thomas High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. Julian worked in various capacities throughout his lifetime at Hughes Tool, American National Insurance and Kennametal from where he retired. He was very mechanically minded and could design, build, troubleshoot, and repair any mechanical device. He was proficient at Polish Engineering.
The family is very grateful for the caregivers from Cornerstone Senior In-Home care services for their compassionate care and assistance during his time in hospice. The family is particularly grateful to the Department of Veterans Affairs for providing Joe Teel for special care to Julian. Joe provided compassionate care and assistance above and beyond the normal care.
Pallbearers are Jeff Houston, Dennis Klodzinski, Dan Butler, Matt Jones, Lee Adams, Cameron Munsell, Jeff Seaton and Rodney Eckert.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5-8 PM, with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
