Rose Marie Bielenda, age 89 passed away January 28th, 2024, in Gulf Breeze FL.

Born August 26th, 1934, in Scranton / Taylor, Pennsylvan­ia to John and Eva (Pavelchak) Farbanish. Being born during the great depression and daughter of a coal miner shaped Roses’ formative years. After graduating Old Forge High School in 1951, Rose attended Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing to become a nurse in 1955, later receiving her BSN from University of Texas Health-Houston in 1979.

Rose spent more than 35 years providing comfort, care, and her warm healing touch to countless patients in the fields of pediatrics, cardiology, and ophthalmol­ogy. Rose married Bill Bielenda, the love of her life on November 23rd, 1957, in Bayonne, NJ. Together they had three children Bobby, Billy, and Valerie. In 1972, the family relocated to Houston, TX where Rose spent the next 50 years blessed by the fellowship of so many friends and neighbors whom she dearly loved.

Mrs. Bielenda was predecease­d by her beloved husband, William E. Bielenda. She is survived by her loving children; Robert Bielenda and his wife Lana, William Bielenda, Jr. and his wife Shelley, Valerie Sargent, and her husband John; her five grandchild­ren and six great grandchild­ren. Rose was also predecease­d by her dear brother, Basil Farbanish.

Visitation is Monday, February 19th, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 20th at 11:00 am, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9915 Hollister St. Houston, TX 77040. A private interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
