A green giant finds home in Egyptian hall

“Kid curators” Abigail Myers, 7, and Jacob Blackman, 9, join Tom Hardwick, consulting curator of Egyptology, on Wednesday after revealing the giant sarcophagu­s of Gemshuankh, which will be part of the new permanent Hall of Ancient Egypt at the HoustonMus­eum of Natural Science. The sarcophagu­s dates to 664-323 BC and stands out for its large size and green face, which symbolizes rebirth.
