Randy Bullock isn’t fazed by having to kick extra points an additional 13 yards.

Texans kicker Randy Bullock has connected on 95.6 percent of field goals 33 yards or shorter during the past two seasons, so it’s not surprising he would be unconcerned with the extra-point rule that was changed this week.

At their spring meetings in San Francisco, NFL owners voted to move the line of scrimmage on extra-point kicks from the 2 to the 15-yard line.

“It doesn’t affect me or my preparation toward the season,” Bullock said Wednesday. “It’s the same kick regardless of the distance, so you do what you need to do. It’s part of your job.”

Under the new rule, extra point kicks should be like 32- or 33-yard field goals. On field goals of 33 yards or shorter, Bullock is 22-of23 in his two seasons as the Texans’ kicker, including 12-of-13 last season.

Bullock’s only misfire was on a blocked kick.

In 2014, Bullock was 40of-40 on extra points and 30-of-35 (85.7 percent) on field goals for a career-best 130 points.

“We experimented with it last year during preseason, so it’ll be interesting to see how it affects the game,” Bullock said about the line of scrimmage being the 15. “A lot of guys did it and did it very well, so it’s nothing to worry about.”

Bullock, who split time with Chris Boswell in the 2014 preseason, didn’t miss an extra point and was perfect on two field goals from 33 yards or shorter.

Overall, Bullock made dramatic improvement from his first season, when he was 26-of-35 (74.3 percent) on his field goals. He made all 10 of his field goals that were 33 yards or shorter.
