Victor Louis Colonnetta

1933-2015

-

Victor Louis Colonnetta of Austin, Texas passed away Tuesday evening June 16, 2015 under Hospice care. His mother, Alice Pontello arrived in Galveston under the passport of her father when she was nine months old. Anthony Colonnetta, parents, and siblings arrived in Houston a little later. Only the next generation of these two prominent Italian families, are left to carry on the legacy. His parents sold a Laundry and Linen Supply business in 1940 and moved the family to Austin when Victor was seven years old. Throughout the remaining life times of his parents there has always been an Anthony’s Laundry. Victor purchased the business from his parents when they retired and, even though he no longer owned that business at the time of his death, the subsequent owners have kept the Anthony’s sign as the name of their business.

Victor is survived by nine children and their spouses, twenty grandchildren, and eight great-children.

Funeral Mass will be a Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Andice, Texas at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery directly after the Mass.

Donation in his name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Habitat of Austin, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
