RANKING THE POWER FORWARDS
1 Kristaps Porzingis, Latvia, 19, 7-0
Porzingas has become a particularly intriguing prospect, with outstanding size, length and agility. He will have to fill out and become more assertive.
2 Frank Kaminsky, Wisconsin, Sr., 6-11
Offensively, Kaminsky has the combination of skills for either frontcourt position, with shooting range, ballhandling and passing ability. But he could lack strength and quickness defensively.
3 Trey Lyles, Kentucky, Fr., 6-10
Though his shot needs work, it shows potential for Lyles to be an effective stretch four after playing at small forward in the loaded Kentucky frontcourt.
4 Bobby Portis, Arkansas, So., 6-11
The SEC Player of the Year, Portis improved physically to produce consistently. A high-energy player, he can be comfortable inside or at mid-range.
5 Montrezl Harrell, Louisville, Jr., 6-8
Though undersized for an interior player, Harrell has great length and is an aggressive, physical player around the rim. He has improved as a mid-range shooter but still needs to get better away from the basket.
Others to watch: Kevon Looney, UCLA; Chris McCullough, Syracuse; Jarell Martin, LSU.
