Three things to watch in the series:
1 The Astros have homered in 51 of 71 games this season and have gone deep at least twice in a franchiserecord eight in a row, with 20 total in that span. The last team to have a multihomer streak that long was the 2009 Boston Red Sox, whose streak ended at eight. The Yankees had a streak of nine such games earlier in the ’09 season. The Astros are 28-2 when hitting at least two homers in a game.
2 The Angels are 10-4 in their last 14 home games against the Astros, but the Astros lead the 2015 season series 4-3. Mike Trout has six homers, two doubles, a triple and 12 RBIs in his last 11 games against the Astros. The Angels are 28-6 when holding opponents to three runs or fewer.
3 While George Springer is the Astros’ hottest hitter, Carlos Correa is doing a marvelous job in the twohole, hitting .304 (17-for-56) in his first 13 career games, with four doubles and three homers. His 17 hits are the most by an Astros player in that number of games.
