The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who allegedly robbed a gas station in the 15000 block of Rayford Road July 2.

The Montgomery County Sheriff ’s Office is searching for two men who allegedly robbed a gas station in the 15000 block of Rayford Road July 2.

The suspects allegedly entered the gas station before 5 a.m. and ordered the clerk to lie on the floor, threatenin­g the individual with a knife. The two suspects then unsuccessf­ully attempted to break into a ATM before taking several cartons of cigarettes and an undetermin­ed amount of money from the cash register, according to a release from the sheriff ’s office. The suspects, of whom the police have only vague descriptio­ns, fled the gas station in an unknown direction.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1000 cash reward for informatio­n leading to an arrest or indictment of a felony crime. The Montgomery County Sheriff ’s Office District 6, The Woodlands, reported the following incidents:

Shoplifter busted: On June 22, a 29-year-old woman was arrested for theft, possession of a controlled substance and two outstandin­g warrants after a deputy was dispatched to 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive in reference to a shoplifter in custody. The suspect had tried to take $51.94 worth of merchandis­e from Marshall’s. During a search the suspect was found to have methamphet­amine concealed in her purse.

DWI bust: On June 24, a 39-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicate­d and taken to the Montgomery County Jail after two deputies were dispatched to a disturbanc­e call on Sawdust Road. Upon arrival, the deputies learned the suspect had left the scene, but while speaking with the complainan­t, deputies saw the suspect drive by and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was observed to have a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, glassy eyes and slurred speech.

Robbery arrest: On June 24, a 22-year-old woman was arrested on a robbery charge after a deputy was dispatched to a shoplifter in custody call at 10001 Lake Woodlands. The suspect had tried to take $44.67 worth of merchandis­e from Walmart. The store’s security was able, after a brief struggle, to detain the suspect. The charges were upgraded from theft to robbery after the suspect had to be restrained for swinging a cordless drill and fire extinguish­er at the security officer while waiting for the deputy to arrive. The suspect was taken to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.

Shoplifter nabbed: On June 24, an 18-yearold woman was charged with theft and taken to the Montgomery County Jail after a deputy responded to a shoplifter in custody call at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect had tried to take $93.98 worth of cosmetics and clothing from the JC Penney’s department store.

Theft arrest: On June 26, a 34-year-old man was charged with theft and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail after a deputy responded to a theft in progress at 10001 Woodlands Parkway. The suspect was seen trying to return $44 worth of items from the store without having paid for them. The suspect was detained by store security officers after a brief struggle.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 2, South County, reported the following incidents:

Duo busted: On June 22, a 19-year-old Montgomery woman and a 21-yearold Houston man were arrested after a deputy was sent to the 25000 block of Interstate 45 in reference to a theft. The deputy met with the store’s security officer who had followed the woman out of the store. The merchandis­e was recovered and the woman was arrested. After the initial investigat­ion, the woman was found to have a stolen driver’s license that was taken in a burglary of a motor vehicle. A man with her was arrested for three traffic warrants. Both subjects were transporte­d to jail.

Assault arrest: On June 22, a 18-year-old Spring man was arrested and taken to jail after a deputy was notified of an assault on Comal River Loop. The deputy met with a man who told him another man had hit him on the nose and threatened more violence.

DWI arrest: On June 22, a 25-year-old Conroe man was arrested and taken to jail from a location on Interstate 45 near Woodlands Parkway for a driving while intoxicate­d warrant and a family violence assault warrant, both out of Travis County.
