Questions about the recent flooding? Attend District A meeting 7-8:30 p.m. July 9

A District A Town Hall meeting will be held 7- 8:30 p.m. July 9 to discuss the aftermath of the recent storm. This is an opportunit­y to get storm recovery questions answered by various City of Houston department­s as well as representa­tives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Residents can meet and ask questions of Houston city councilmem­ber Brenda Stardig, FEMA representa­tives, the American Red Cross, the Small Business Administra­tion, the City of Houston Solid Waste Department, Public Works & Engineerin­g Department and the Department of Neighborho­ods. ‘Pride and Prejudice’ reading to be staged at Main Street Theater

Main Street Theater presents a staged reading of a new musical adaptation of “Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice,” adapted by Jon Jory and with an original score by Peter Ekstrom. There are two performanc­es: Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. at Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd. All tickets are $10.
