The Harris County Chapter of the Texas German Society will meet at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Trini Mendenhall Sosa Community Center, 1414 Wirt Road. Questions about the recent flooding? Attend District A meeting 7-8:30 p.m. July 9
A District A Town Hall meeting will be held 7- 8:30 p.m. July 9 to discuss the aftermath of the recent storm. This is an opportunity to get storm recovery questions answered by various City of Houston departments as well as representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Residents can meet and ask questions of Houston city councilmember Brenda Stardig, FEMA representatives, the American Red Cross, the Small Business Administration, the City of Houston Solid Waste Department, Public Works & Engineering Department and the Department of Neighborhoods. ‘Pride and Prejudice’ reading to be staged at Main Street Theater
Main Street Theater presents a staged reading of a new musical adaptation of “Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice,” adapted by Jon Jory and with an original score by Peter Ekstrom. There are two performances: Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. at Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd. All tickets are $10.
